Exterior Painting

Kentucky Weather Is Hard on Paint. We Paint for It.

Sun fades it. Rain and freeze-thaw winters crack and peel it. Once the paint goes, your siding and trim are next.

We fix that the right way: careful prep, quality paint, and clean lines. The result is a house you’re proud to pull up to, protected for years.

  • Better Curb AppealFresh paint is one of the easiest ways to make your house look its best, whether you’re staying or selling.
  • Real Weather ProtectionGood paint keeps water and sun off your siding and trim, so they last longer.
  • Prep That Makes It LastScraping, sanding, and caulking take time. They’re also why our paint jobs hold up.

How do I know when it’s time to repaint my home’s exterior?

Fading, chalky residue, peeling, or cracking paint are the clearest signs. A typical exterior paint job lasts 5 to 10 years, but sun exposure, humidity, and Kentucky’s freeze-thaw winters all affect that timeline. If you’re unsure, we’ll take a look during your free estimate.

What happens if my exterior paint is peeling and cracking?

Peeling and cracking paint leaves the wood underneath unprotected. The longer it goes untreated, the more likely moisture causes rot that needs repair or replacement, and much of that damage stays hidden behind the failing paint. Repainting sooner protects your siding and trim.

How many coats of paint does my home need?

Usually one quality coat over properly prepared surfaces is enough. Extra coats aren’t always better. Paint builds up, and over-application can lead to cracking and peeling. A second coat is typically needed when changing to a much lighter or darker color.

What time of year is best for exterior painting in Kentucky?

Late spring through early fall usually offers the best conditions, since paint needs mild temperatures and dry weather to cure properly. We schedule exterior work around the forecast so your finish goes on right.

Do I need to be home while you paint the outside of my house?

No. Most homeowners go about their day as usual. We’ll walk the project with you before we start, keep you updated as the work progresses, and review the finished result with you at the end.
